Gather your brooms (paddleboards), don your best witch or warlock costume, and join us for an unforgettable evening on the water under the October sky.

Back by popular demand, this is Utah’s second annual Witching Hour Paddle!

This will take place at Windsurfer Beach on Pineview Reservoir in Ogden Valley. We will follow a pre-planned route to head EAST towards the dam and float back to our starting point.

Join your community for this free event, “Witching Hour on the Water”, a magical evening where paddle-boarding, costumes, and camaraderie intertwine

Schedule:

  • 5:30 PM - Arrive to Windsurfer Beach and blow up craft.

    • A few electric pumps will be available

    • Watercraft required. No rentals available.

    • PFD required

  • 6:00-7:00 PM - Twilight Paddle Board 

  • We will follow a pre-planned route to head EAST towards the dam and float back to where we started. We’d like to avoid any paddles outside of the designated zones.

  • 7:00 PM - Bites & Delights

    • Food and drinks included, must have watercraft.

    • Must register to guarrentee treats.

  • 7:45-8:00 PM - Moonlight Paddle

    • For those who are comfortable and have board lights.

Details: 

  • Dress appropriately for colder weather

  • Tie for witch hats to keep them on!

  • Headlamp and/or board light is encouraged.

  • PFDs required

  •  If you arrive late, please launch and meet up when you can.

  • Watercraft required. No rentals available.

$10 per person

We want this event to be safe, supported and super fun. Your $10 goes directly toward food, supplies, permits, media, and creating a worry-free experience so you can just show up and glide into the Witching Hour Vibes.

Your registration includes:

  • A slice (or two!) of Lucky Slice Pizza

  • Witchy themed snacks and charcuterie boards.

  • Swag Bag with Witching Hour stickers and other fun surprises from our local brands.

  • Event support & safety coordination

  • Access to drone footage & group photos

  • Magic, community, and a whole lotta fun

This year, we’re making it even more magical—with food, drone footage, a route, themed snacks and spooky-good vibes.

Lucky Slice Pizza is joining the coven with snacks and post-paddle treats.

Hey Hey, I’m Marley. I’m an Ogden Valley Native, passionate paddle-boarder and lover of Halloween. In 2024 I was unable to find a Witch Paddle in Utah to attend. So, I took matters into my own hands. I have organized a new event called “Witching Hour on the Water” and I’m inviting the community to join me!

I’m hoping to establish the Witch Paddle as an annual tradition in Ogden Valley.
